Job Description

Cloud4Wi is looking for a highly motivated Front-End Engineer with more than 5 years of experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks and web-server based UIs. The Front-End Engineer will work with our development team to enhance all front-end technologies and platform within Cloud4Wi.

Responsibilities:

  • Build new web applications related to our customer-facing portals and maintain, evolve and adapt existing applications and interfaces
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Work alongside other teams to deliver a coherent front-end, which will involve pushing API and schema changes
  • Work alongside product management UX lead and web developers to help define realistic requirements, deliver a best practice front end solution, recommend new libraries, frameworks, processes and other tools and help to implement the best and most efficient ones


Qualifications

•    5+ years of experience in front-end development, including admin interfaces and high-traffic environments

•    Strong proficiency with programming languages such as HTML5, CSS3, various JavaScript libraries and micro frameworks (JQuery and NodeJs or Angular)
•    Good understanding of PHP and ability to work in PHP frameworks such as CakePHP
•    Proficient experience building web-service based UIs and knowledge of RESTful APIs
•    Basic knowledge building cross-platform web experiences leveraging responsive frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation
•    Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git and SVN, package managers such as bower
•    Understanding of UI/UX principles
•    Great ability to problem-solve, think independently, and influence others
•    Scrappy, not afraid to get your hands dirty - ability to figure out how to do something even if not a skillset yet
•    Solid development practices and emphasis on code quality
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•    Ability to work in an agile work environment
