Our team researches new threats, analyzes network vulnerabilities, develops detection and prevention technologies, and delivers frequent security updates to customers worldwide.

This role combines hands-on security research, threat analysis, and product content development, offering the opportunity to work on a wide variety of technologies, attack techniques, and emerging trends—including the growing use of AI in Cyber Security.

 

Job Description

* Research, develop, and release network protections and security updates for Check Point's Network Security products.
* Reproduce and analyze malicious attacks and campaigns to better understand threats and design effective mitigations.
* Investigate network protocols and identify new detection opportunities.
* Hunt for emerging threats using Check Point's cloud-scale data and develop new analysis techniques.
* Explore how Generative AI and LLMs can improve threat research, detection, and security analysis.
* Share research findings through technical blog posts and other internal and external publications.
* Collaborate closely with researchers and developers to bring new protections from research into production.

 

Qualifications

* B.Sc. / B.A. in Computer Science or another technical discipline.
* 2+ years of experience in Network Security Research, Threat Research, or a similar Cyber Security role.
* Great understanding of networking concepts and common protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, SMB, FTP, etc.).
* Understanding of the OSI model.
* Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or AI-assisted security analysis tools, and an interest in applying AI to Cyber Security research.
* Strong technical and analytical skills.
* Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn.
* Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
* Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to Have

* Previous experience in Cyber Security.
* Familiarity with common network attacks and vulnerabilities, including DDoS, brute force, spoofing, injection attacks, and insecure deserialization.
* Understanding of malware behavior, C&C communication, phishing, drive-by attacks, and network scanning techniques.
* Hands-on experience with IPS/IDS technologies, signature development, threat detection, or network traffic analysis.
