Job Description
Own a Piece of What You Build
Are you the kind of person who can’t leave a tool alone until it’s running perfectly? Do you enjoy diagnosing issues, fixing equipment, and keeping a shop running like a well‑oiled machine? At Chandos, our Tool Technicians keep our project sites moving - safely, efficiently, and with the right gear every time.
This role is a strong entry point into our warehouse and logistics operations. We hire for potential, not just where you are today.

What You’ll Do
- Precision Maintenance Inspect, diagnose, and perform minor repairs on construction‑grade tools and equipment - drills, grinders, generators, pressure washers, and more. You’ll keep our gear safe, reliable, and job‑ready.
- Inventory Leadership Fulfill tool orders from request forms and calls, ensuring our field teams get exactly what they need, when they need it.
- Safety Stewardship Complete incoming and outgoing inspections. At Chandos, safety isn’t a checkbox - it’s a core value.
- Logistics & Coordination Manage tool flow across warehouse zones and coordinate with external partners for specialized recertifications.
- Workspace Excellence Help maintain a clean, organized, and highly functional shop environment.
Qualifications
2+ years maintaining/repairing tools in a tool rental shop, construction tool shop, equipment repair environment, or small‑engine service setting.
Technical Skill
You can identify tool wear, troubleshoot issues, and perform basic repairs - handles, cords, blades, filters, switches, and similar components.
The Gear You Know
Comfort with cordless/corded drills, impact drivers, concrete hammers, grinders, pneumatic nailers, generators, air compressors, and plate compactors.
Driver’s License
Valid Class 5 license with a clean abstract.
Physical Capability
Able to lift up to 80 lbs for 50 feet, climb ladders, and perform physical work in varied conditions.
