Introduction

Are you organised, discrete and a team player? Do you have experience with payroll processing or Human Resources compensation treatments? We are looking for a dynamic person with good attention to detail to join our Personnel Accounting section.  

As a member of the Personnel Accounting section, you will be part of a small, versatile team responsible for processing the monthly salaries of the Organisation, and for the reimbursement of various expenses and payment of certain to members of personnel. Additional tasks performed by the team include participation in regular accounting book-closes, and the issuance of correct financial certificates. 

Functions

The Payroll Specialist will ensure the accurate and timely processing of the monthly payroll for the Organization, which includes approximately 4500 members of personnel. You will work in tandem with one other colleague, and will gradually take on the following responsibilities:

  • Preparing, controlling and validating the Organization’s payroll;
  • Calculating and validating the Organization’s social contributions;
  • Coding and recording accounting entries;
  • Performing regular monitoring of accounts relating to payroll activities;
  • Answering ad hoc queries from Members of Personnel or internal services (HR, legal service, etc.);
  • Performing diverse administrative duties, such as registering personnel’s bank details, processing applications for optional insurances, issuing financial attestations, etc.;
  • Maintaining regular contact and good relations with both internal services and external contacts.

Qualifications

Higher administrative diploma or equivalent relevant experience in the field of accounting or finance or a related field. Applicants with a Master's or PhD cannot be considered for this post. 

Experience:

Proven professional experience in finance and accounting – preferably in the field of salary processing or reimbursements to employees.

Technical competencies:

  • Accounting control and analysis;

  • Use of accounting tools;
  • Knowledge of administrative rules and procedures.

Language skills:

Spoken and written English or French: ability to understand and speak both languages in professional contexts as well as the ability to prepare/draft and/or translate accurate texts in both languages.
