Job Description
CEDA is looking to hire a Planner for our Fort McMurray, AB location. CEDA will be working with one of their clients to reassemble their entire dredge, as well as assemble a marina and an electrical barge on site.
The Field Planner will act as the main point of contact for the clients. This position is responsible for taking the lead in developing strategic plans and estimates for a Dredging project. Once awarded the project, the Planner is responsible to ensure project completion and technical support is available to field operations. Additional responsibilities include ensuring project completion in direct correlation to original cost estimate.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises the assigned personnel, equipment, material and subcontractors for the assigned work
- Ensure work performance is planned according to work plan schedule, quality, budget and safety objectives - clearly communicate these objectives with dispatch and the operations manager
- Maintain the project work-site in a safe and environmentally sound condition per CEDA policies, procedures and Safe Work Practices
- Preparation of equipment layout, hookup requirements and work lists for setup, processing, rig-down and decontamination in advance to supply to dispatch
- Develop and maintain positive customer relations by leading through safe work performance and measureable key performance indicators
- Monitor customer feedback and corrective actions; use feedback to implement improvements and make adjustments to the quality systems in order to meet customer requirements
- You are the face of CEDA while on the client site – your knowledge of Dredging will enable you to speak knowledgeably with the client and sell CEDA’s services
- Familiarize self with client agreements for the purpose of accurate control of obligations; you will use existing client agreements to build your estimates
- All other related duties as required
Role Specifications
- 5+ years of experience in industrial services/maintenance is required
- Minimum 2 years Supervisory experience
- Class 5 license is required
- Class 1 or 3 license would be an asset
