Job Description
CD PROJEKT RED is looking for an experienced Technical Music Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of Cyberpunk 2 — the next major entry in the Cyberpunk franchise. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the game’s musical identity by designing immersive, interactive music systems and collaborating with our composers and sound design team.
If you're a technically skilled and creative audio artist with a passion for game music systems and a track record of working on shipped titles, this is your chance to help define the future soundscape of a groundbreaking RPG.
Daily Responsibilities
- Edit, implement, mix, and optimize in-game music assets.
- Build dynamic and adaptive music content using materials provided by composers.
- Integrate music using Unreal Engine 5 and Audiokinetic Wwise middleware.
- Collaborate closely with composers and sound designers to ensure consistent implementation aligned with the game’s creative vision.
- Develop and design innovative music systems for gameplay and narrative experiences.
- Prototype audio for game mechanics, experiment with new features, and document audio design solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar role (e.g., Technical Music Designer, Sound Designer).
- Significant contribution to at least one shipped commercial game title.
- Strong experience implementing audio and music using Wwise.
- Hands-on experience working with Unreal Engine 5.
- Proficiency with DAWs and audio tools such as Logic, Ableton Live, Reaper, Pro Tools, Waves, Soundtoys, iZotope, and similar.
- Excellent technical sound design skills with a focus on game audio integration.
- Fluent in English.
- Comfortable learning new in-house tools and audio pipelines.
- Clear and collaborative communicator within cross-disciplinary teams.
- Self-driven and accountable, while also contributing to team-wide goals.
- Deep passion for music and audio in games.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Unreal Blueprints
- Background in music composition or theory
- Demonstrated skill in remixing or reimagining music assets
- Advanced understanding of audio post-processing workflows
- Strong creative sound design abilities and a knack for out-of-the-box thinking
- Experience with MetaSounds or other procedural audio systems

Working mode
- In-office in a hybrid or full-time capacity in Warsaw, Poland.
- For selected roles, remote work from within Europe may be considered.
