Job Description

Guide and lead the migration and consolidation of an Active Directory forest to an existing Active Directory forest for a credit union customer in the Raleigh, NC area.  This will be a fast-paced migration and requires the skills and expertise to be able to expedite where possible and have the understanding to be able to guide the organization to be cautious and deliberate where speed may cause risk to the business or organization.  

This position will sit remote and is responsible for the successful migration of a new AD forests to an existing AD forest.  Additionally, this position will help with the plan and migration of file & print services, Windows Servers, and other applications.  This position will have access to three (3) Microsoft Certified Masters in Active Directory with more than 15 years of experience with Active Directory.    

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience with Active Directory  

  • Accomplished, supported, and lead multiple Active Directory migrations  

  • Expertise with Windows Server 2008/2008 R2, Server 2012/2012R2, and Server 2016  

  • Enterprise (more than 15,000 users) experience with design, implementation, and operation of Active Directory  

  • Experience creating a new AD environment from scratch and migrating it into existing environment  

  • Experience using migration and integration tools such as ADMT or Dell / Quest Migration tools  

  • Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills at a Sr Systems Engineer level  

  • Sufficient technical depth to communicate with business and other internal IS Groups at a peer level  

  • Possess the ability to work independently with minimal management supervision and as part of nationwide team of engineers  

  • Be confident and actively participating in team support by proposing and implementing solutions  

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills  

  • Patient, calm, and supportive demeanor   

  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail  

  • Strong organizational and communication skills   

  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)  

  • Able to work and complete tasks without being micro managed  

  • Detail Oriented and resourceful  

  • Admin experience preferred
