Company Description

Catch22 exists to help build a society where everyone has a good place to live, good people around them, and a fulfilling purpose. We call these our '3Ps'.

We achieve this in two ways. First we improve lives on the frontline through delivery of public services. Secondly, we use our knowledge to change 'the system', to fix the complex web that can trap and disempower those it was set up to help. With the heart of a charity and the mindset of a business, we are uniquely placed to deliver on this challenging agenda.

The Catch22 Employability division provides skills and employability provision on a range of programmes, both public and corporate funded. We pride ourselves on supporting the most disadvantaged in society to improve their prospects resulting in improved social mobility and sustainable positive change.

Job Description

Working within Catch22’s Employability division, you will build employer relationships and secure suitable vacancies for National Jobs Guarantee participants, working closely with Career Coaches and Team Leaders to progress applications, interviews, offers and confirmed job starts.

You will be accountable for individual KPIs, accurate and timely vacancy information, realistic forecasts and corrective action on stalled opportunities, while contributing employer intelligence and relationships to Catch22’s wider organisational Employer Engagement Strategy.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Proactively identify, approach and build relationships with employers across the designated London contract area through prospecting, visits, networking, referrals and sector-based engagement.

Use a consultative approach to understand workforce needs, recruitment challenges, skills requirements and opportunities to recruit young people through the National Jobs Guarantee.

Secure a consistent pipeline of genuine, high-quality and accessible paid roles, including opportunities for progression, that meet programme requirements and participant needs.

Obtain clear job descriptions, locations, hours, pay, start dates, essential criteria, selection arrangements and onboarding requirements; challenge unsuitable or inaccessible opportunities.

Promote inclusive recruitment, reasonable adjustments and fair selection processes, supporting employers to remove unnecessary barriers for young people.

Work closely with Career Coaches, Team Leaders and Trainers to understand participant strengths, aspirations, readiness and support needs, and agree appropriate matching and recruitment routes.

Coordinate employer introductions, recruitment events, applications, interviews and timely feedback, maintaining momentum from vacancy identification through confirmed job start.

Help employers understand programme expectations, onboarding processes and available support, and coordinate practical arrangements with colleagues and partners.

Maintain active contact with employers during recruitment and early employment, resolving issues or escalating risks promptly; work with Career Coaches delivering six-month in-work support.

Build long-term employer relationships that generate repeat suitable opportunities and support progression into sustainable employment.

Take personal accountability for agreed employer engagement and employment outcome KPIs, including qualified employer opportunities, suitable vacancies, participant submissions, interviews, offers and verified job starts.

Maintain a current, evidence-based CRM pipeline, accurately recording employer contacts, vacancy details, ownership, next steps, recruitment activity, forecast start dates and actual outcomes.

Review conversion rates and stalled vacancies, explain variances against targets and take proactive recovery action in discussion with the Employer Engagement Lead.

Coordinate proactively with other Employer Engagement colleagues to prevent duplicate approaches to employers and share suitable opportunities across teams.

Ensure all employer engagement and recruitment activity complies with contractual requirements, safeguarding, equality and diversity, data protection, health and safety and Catch22 policies.

Use sound judgement when assessing vacancy suitability, employer credibility, participant safety and fairness of selection; escalate concerns promptly.

Represent Catch22 professionally at employer forums, community events and partner meetings, maintaining a responsive and high-quality employer service.

Seek feedback, share market intelligence and contribute to continuous improvement of employer engagement and job-start conversion.

What good looks like

Take personal accountability for agreed KPIs covering employer approaches, suitable vacancies, candidate submissions, interviews, offers, confirmed job starts and contribution to sustained employment outcomes.

Maintain complete, accurate and timely employer and vacancy records, including employer and vacancy identifiers, recruitment stages, forecast job-start dates and confirmed outcomes.

Review vacancy-to-interview and interview-to-start conversion, explain variances against targets, provide evidence-based forecasts and implement timely recovery actions.

Contribute to Catch22’s wider organisational Employer Engagement Strategy through shared employer intelligence, coordinated employer approaches and transferable opportunities.

Suitable, accessible employer opportunities progress consistently into applications, interviews, offers and verified job starts against agreed targets.

Employers receive a responsive, consultative service and are confident in the suitability and preparation of participants.
