Job Description

What you’ll be doing

You'll own Auction Optimisation across our publisher stack: Prebid, Google Ad Manager, APS, and the demand and identity partners that plug into them. This layer decides how much revenue a publisher earns for every impression, across billions of them. The environment is challenging but rewarding. Upstream vendors are optimising their side of the auction in parallel, privacy regulation keeps moving the constraints, and every improvement has to be proven with statistical rigour

We want to evolve this technology into something smarter, faster, and more scalable, and we're hiring the person to lead that. You'll set the strategy, define what "better" measurably means, and run the experimentation loop that gets us there. You'll bring deep publisher-side auction knowledge with you for immediate impact.

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for auction optimisation across Prebid and GAM, with clear KPIs and decision guardrails so every change lifts revenue, yield, and/or inventory quality.
  • Manage the end-to-end optimisation uplift loop. Frame hypotheses with Data Science, design implementation strategy with Engineering, interpret statistical results and make the call the call to go to market and share with our existing customers.
  • Study the market, business and customers to be the subject matter expert who translates business goals into precise problems, specs, and experiment plans that Engineers can build from directly, and drive delivery through launch, measurement, and post-launch review.
  • Make bidder configuration, identity, floors, timeouts, and layouts improvements coherent and measurable.
  • Evaluate demand, identity, and measurement partners through structured trials with explicit success criteria, and support Commercial teams in negotiating integrations that create durable advantage for our publishers.
  • Communicate priorities, risks, and results transparently to executives and cross-functional teams so everyone stays aligned and moving

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of product management experience with end-to-end ownership of revenue-bearing products, the majority in publisher-side adtech.
  • Hands-on experience with publisher monetisation systems: Prebid, Google Ad Manager, SSPs/DSPs, and identity solutions.
  • Demonstrated, measurable impact on monetisation, reliability, latency, or comparable core metrics.
  • Fluent with data analysis. Able for analysis in SQL/Google Sheets/Excel to support decisions.
  • You can explain a publisher's auction journey from first principles, with all the potential layers involved and their instrumentation. You will have strong opinions on what these connections do for Publishers.
  • You routinely turn analytics into the next experiment: defining the right metrics and guardrails, segmenting to find signal rather than noise, and framing hypotheses with explicit go/no-go criteria.
  • You're comfortable discussing test design and basic statistics with Data Scientists, and equally comfortable translating the results for people who aren't.
  • You bias toward getting hands-on, for example, inspecting a config or a payload yourself before forming an opinion.

We know not everyone will meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If you’re excited about the role and believe you can make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
