The Ad-Technology Lead, leads specialists to deliver advertising products and support the ad-operations team. You will work closely with other teams to implement new products, formats, and iterations of products within our ad server (GAM) environment to support media growth targets and key objectives. Your role will also see you working on a diverse range of strategic projects using the latest technologies in the digital advertising space.

Job Description
What’ll you’ll be doing
Technical Delivery
- Build native and HTML5 ad templates from scratch, following creative and technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot GAM tag integrations across web and in-app environments.
- Build and troubleshoot rich media ad formats across desktop, mobile, and app platforms.
- Plan, manage, and monitor the technical implementation of display and video advertising units.
- Test and evaluate new ad technology products prior to departmental acceptance.
- Analyse ad server reports to surface issues and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide technical support during site launches and updates.
Strategy & Cross-functional Leadership
- Work closely with product teams to ensure new products are executed in line with business objectives.
- Serve as the subject matter expert across sales, dev, finance, and ad-ops for all ad tech projects.
- Develop and document team processes for ad operations, including issue management workflows.
- Partner with the ad-ops team on campaign setup, optimisation, and troubleshooting workflows.
- Lead third-party vendor selection and ongoing management where required.
- Train sales, marketing, and IT personnel in the use and execution of ad technology processes.
- Communicate clearly across a broad stakeholder group — from commercial leaders to software developers.
Leadership
- Mentoring and developing the ad ops/ad tech team
- Workload prioritisation and delivery standards
- One-on-ones and performance check-ins
- Escalation points for complex technical issues
- Onboarding and upskilling new team members
- Aligning team output with the broader product roadmap
Qualifications
What we’re looking for?
- Proven experience creating, managing, and optimising campaigns across display, video, native, and rich media formats.
- Strong grasp of the programmatic landscape - DSP/SSP dynamics, deal structures, and ad serving fundamentals.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex ad tech issues across multiple platforms and environments.
- A curious problem-solver who digs for root causes and doesn't rest until client expectations are exceeded.
- A natural collaborator comfortable forming strong relationships across commercial, product, and tech teams.
