Job Description

Important Note: This is a global posting. Applicants for this job must reside in the Philippines and be legally allowed to work in the Philippines. The position is remote/work from home. There are multiple openings for this role.

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to ensuring the highest quality of our SaaS products. As a QA Engineer, you will report to the engineering supervisor, and will be responsible for conducting manual testing and building end-to-end regression tests using tools like Cypress. You will work in a remote development environment, collaborating closely with our development team. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards and deliver exceptional value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive manual testing of our software products to identify and resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end regression tests using tools such as Cypress.
  • Deploy to test environments and collaborate with developers to pull down feature branches for testing.
  • Utilize IDEs like VS Code and version control using local git and GitHub to manage and deploy code locally for testing.
  • Work closely with the development team to understand requirements and provide timely feedback.
  • Ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality and performance before release.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our QA processes and methodologies.

Qualifications

What your background looks like:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in conducting manual testing of software applications.
  • Experience in building end-to-end regression tests using tools like Cypress.
  • Familiarity with the TALL stack (Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Laravel, and Livewire).
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud hosting environments.
  • Proficiency in using remote development environments, particularly Coder.
  • Competence in deploying to test environments, using IDEs like VS Code, and managing code with git/github.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
