Job Description
Summary
Type: W2 Contract
Project Duration: up to 30 hours
Start Date: 4/14/2026
Houtly: up to $75/hr.
This is a U.S.-based remote position and is open to U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders. This position is not open to 3rd party representation.
We are seeking a highly experienced SQL Architect to support a short-term consulting engagement. This project involves partnering with our consulting firm team members and our client, who is a local government entity, to evaluate and provide guidance on enterprise-level database resilience strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in scheduled meetings and serve as a subject matter expert on SQL Server architecture, enterprise backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
- Assess the current database infrastructure and use of Rubrik for backup and restore. Provide training on best practices and hands-on labs using Rubrik.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to answer technical questions and provide strategic insight.
- Deliver actionable recommendations that the project team can operationalize.
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in SQL Server architecture, including high availability, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies (e.g., Always On, clustering, replication)
- Proven hands-on experience with Rubrik for enterprise backup, restore, and data protection, including the ability to guide and train teams.
- Strong ability to assess existing environments and deliver actionable, strategic recommendations while effectively communicating with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver structured training sessions and hands-on labs to upskill teams on best practices and tools.
