Job Description

Role Summary:

Key FP&A Support lead for the Global Fund Communication Solutions regulatory business Bristol, along with consolidated FCS group reporting (i.e. including FCS Dublin), reporting to GTOI Finance.

This role includes Bristol acquisition, along with overall FCS Consolidated group reporting.

Key Tasks:

1. Monthly Close Process

  • Facilitate and monitor the close by working with the BR UK Accounting team to understand sensitive revenue, labor, and accounts payable items

  • Monthly reconciliation of actuals vs plan, forecast, and prior year

  • Monthly revenue waterfall management and delivery to Bill McEvoy (ICS Sales Lead)

  • Labor headcount reconciliation

  • Creation and distribution of monthly reporting package including:
    • Summary P&L with commentary
    • Variance explanation vs forecast or plan
    • Driver reconciliation
    • Labor analysis
  • Work with the finance team to prepare the overall close package for Arun Sarwal and join monthly results call

 

2. Quarterly Forecast

  • Schedule and lead first and second round meetings with the business GMs to identify potential adjustments, risks and opportunities

  • Make all revenue and expense adjustments in TM1 using business intel

  • Prepare reconciliation vs plan or prior forecast

  • Provide ad-hoc guidance against current forecast on a regular basis to Finance and Business senior leadership

  • Prepare forecast package summarizing changes and business conditions and deliver to Finance and Business senior leadership

  • Update labor forecast and project new additions or other changes

  • Meet Finance consolidation deliverable deadlines and attend any relevant meetings

  • Work with the finance team to prepare the overall forecast package for Michael Liberatore

 

3. Yearly Strat Plan

  • Schedule and lead first and second round strategy meetings with the business GMs to identify potential adjustments, risks and opportunities

  • Make all revenue and expense adjustments in strat templates and TM1 using business intel

  • Prepare strat package summarizing changes and business conditions and deliver to Finance and Business senior leadership

  • Update labor forecast and project new additions or other changes

  • Meet ICS Finance consolidation deliverable deadlines and attend any relevant meetings

  • Provide ad-hoc guidance against current strat plan on a regular basis to Finance and Business senior leadership

  • Work with the corporate strategy team to update any necessary materials

  • Work with the finance team to prepare the overall strat package for Arun Sarwal

 

4. Yearly Operating Plan

  • Schedule and lead first and second round planning meetings with the business GMs to identify potential adjustments, risks and opportunities

  • Make all revenue and expense adjustments in excel templates and TM1 using business intel

  • Prepare op plan package summarizing changes and business conditions and deliver to Finance and Business senior leadership

  • Project revenue waterfalls forward and account for any necessary changes throughout the budgeting process

  • Update labor forecast and project new additions or other changes

  • Meet Finance consolidation deliverable deadlines and attend any relevant meetings

  • Provide ad-hoc guidance against current op plan on a regular basis to Finance and Business senior leadership

  • Work with the MF finance team to prepare the overall budgeting package for Arun Sarwal, GM Global Fund Communication Solutions.

 

5. Year-end Close

  • In addition to the routine monthly close responsibilities listed above:
  • Assist the Accounting team in identifying and quantifying any necessary accruals or deferrals to ensure proper cutoff procedures
  • Provide regular forecast guidance in Q4, leading up to the yearly close

 

6. Various ad-hoc Analysis

  • Questions from both Finance and Business senior leadership or stakeholders

 

7. People Management

  • Manage FCS Dublin Financial Analyst, along with potentially graduate, including all annual requirements.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant holding a professional qualification, with previous experience of:

  • Providing financial analysis in a commercial environment,
  • Experience working in a US listed company type environment/culture,
  • Experience of US GAAP,
  • Experience in software/technology business,
  • Experience of working in/with banking industry (Key Broadridge client base)

Systems Experience:

  • Good Excel skills a minimum requirement (e.g. competent in the use of pivots, manipulation of large volumes of data, modelling, etc).
  • Prior experience of Oracle and TM1
