Job Description

The SiteMinder Engineer will be responsible for hands-on engineering/setup/support of SiteMinder integrations, designing SSO solutions, and ensuring the solution developed meets the project requirements. Scope of projects will include engineering and support both client-facing and internal SSO (single sign-on) projects and application integrations including SSO user authentication, federation, etc. This includes building new integrations, modifying/updating existing integrations, troubleshooting potential issues/outages, migrating configurations and setups from DEV to higher environment as per the proper SDLC controls in place.

CA SiteMinder, CA Directory (LDAP) and CA Federation Security Services are the primary components utilized for engineering, developing, and integrating both internal and client-facing applications under SSO. The SiteMinder Engineer must have strong systems integration skills, engineering skills, and direct hands-on experience in developing/configuring and implementing SSO authentication solutions, federation (SAML).  Experience with CA SiteMinder product is required.

The SiteMinder Engineer must have direct experience with change management procedures, will be responsible for testing and validating all development/integration items, will be responsible for migrating integrations/solutions between various Broadridge environments (Dev, Q/A, Prod) during the designated change windows including nights/weekends at times.  As part of these responsibilities the SiteMinder Engineer will also assist with identifying the scope, strategy, technology, and roadmap for SiteMinder integrations and solutions. The SiteMinder Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting any issues reported with the environment or solution/integration. 

The SiteMinder Engineer will report to the IAM Development managers, and will work with a team of IAM Engineers/Engineers/Project Managers on various projects. The engineer must be experienced in running multiple individual technology projects at once.

The SiteMinder Engineer will interface with IAM team management, internal IAM engineering teams, internal target application development teams, internal information security groups, and clients:

  • Be responsible for ensuring that the overall deliverables meets the business needs.
  • Assist in designing IAM security solutions for various products and target applications based on the specific use cases
  • Be responsible for ensuring that the overall deliverables meets the business needs.
  • Follow an SDLC process for defining requirements and project specifications.
  • Produce technical documentation including statements of work, technical specifications, etc.
  • Be involved in every phase of the project including initiation, design, development, testing, support.
  • Work with the business and technical groups to understand the requirements and needs.

Skill Requirements:

  • SiteMinder systems integration experience is a must
  • Direct hands-on experience with CA SiteMinder is required
  • 3-5+ years experience with SSO including Federation (SAML) configuration / implementation / troubleshooting
  • Architecture experience in SiteMinder related infrastructure

Other Experience:

  • Strong ability to analyze and understand business/technology needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong multi-tasking skills to engineering multiple parallel efforts
  • Strong understanding of a development organization and the SDLC
  • Strong understanding of change management procedures/protocols, documentation and testing
