Job Description

Develop a robust class action case database of all in scope class action, collective action, and regulatory mass redress cases, as well as global opt in litigations involving securities and financial products of any type.  Once designed and developed, the Research Manager will maintain this database and carefully monitor to ensure robust monitoring, to develop predictive analytics, and to help drive strategy.  In addition, you will have a key role in driving thought leadership and substantive content to drive brand recognition and awareness, including use of social media.

You will directly:

  • Stay abreast of all legal developments impacting the class action business and curate news and information for leadership (news as well as legislative and judicial developments)
  • Create various databases of all relevant cases
  • Work with technologists to develop robotic processes and web scraping
  • Perform individual searches to ensure complete case inclusion and monitoring
  • Maintain and keep current case database at all times
  • Develop key metrics to drive strategic growth, predictive analytics and client service
  • As lead researcher, manage Lexis and Law360 accounts, and monitor cases for developments, status, and pull, review and curate relevant legal documents from court dockets or otherwise
  • Drive strategy around thought leadership and substantive content
  • Work with the business and marketing teams to utilize social media

Requirements:

  • Significant class action subject matter expertise (10+ years)
  • Significant legal and topical research experience
  • Strong excel and/or Access skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to contribute to Broadridge’s Global Class Action strategy
  • Experience with various social media platforms
  • Ability to work internally with functional groups at Broadridge – product management, technology, other client service groups.
  • Humbleness to learn from existing team and leadership
  • JD a plus
