Job Description

Broadridge are Hiring!  We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to work within our Securities Finance/Collateral Management (SFCM) Team based in our Canary Wharf, London Office.

The Business Analyst (BA) shall perform several roles including, but not limited to, functional analysis, testing and pre-sales support.

The BA shall work on both internal and external (client) projects, gathering requirements and defining the functionality required.  The BA shall liaise with the Development Team where appropriate to identify the best solution and determine the effort required to develop this.  In addition, the BA shall be involved in testing of the functionality once developed and the system, as a whole, where necessary.

The BA shall be knowledgeable in a number of different functional/business areas and shall use this expertise to support project work and sales activities as appropriate.

As part of the sales process, the BA shall be involved in supporting demos to prospects where their knowledge is applicable.   

The BA shall undertake functional analysis on internal and external (client) projects.  This shall include understanding the client’s requirements, adjusting the requirement/solution to best meet the existing functionality and the creation of functional specifications and test plans for the agreed change

The BA shall also be involved in design studies for prospective clients identifying gaps and creating solutions.  This shall include assisting in the creation of the design study document.


Minimum Requirements

3 years plus experience in a business analyst or change management role focused on securities lending, repo and/or collateral management in an end-user, software vendor or consultancy

Specific working experience required in:

  • requirements capture, including organisation of user workshops
  • writing specifications – functional and/or agile stories
  • functional testing
  • working with development teams on system changes/implementations
  • business process design

Experience working with a securities finance or collateral management systems such as 4Sight/SFCM, Global One, Apex, Martini, Anvil, Colline, Calypso, Murex or Algo

Ideal requirements

  • A technical or business background prior to becoming a business analyst
  • High level understanding of technologies such as RDBMS and messaging
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum
  • Experience of working in custodian or asset manager
