Job Description
Role Summary
Our Senior Microsoft Cloud Consultants occupy key leadership roles within our project portfolio - working with customers to understand their unique business challenges and opportunities, making technical decisions that maximise the value of their digital investment.

The ideal candidate will have a number of years of Microsoft cloud experience, specifically in Power Platform but not necessarily in a Microsoft Consultancy. You will have a background in SharePoint and have worked with various versions of SharePoint on premise. You’ll be aware and have worked with Azure services in the past.

Region: UK wide, M1 corridor
Working Location: Flexible – typically 60% home, 20% office, 20% client
Salary Band: £45-65k + benefits - negotiable depending on experience
Working Patterns: Monday to Friday

Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Microsoft Cloud Consultant your responsibilities will include the following:
- Ultimate accountability for the technology choices made within the project, ensuring they are the right fit for the business
- Diagnosis, design, build, test and deployment of Power Platform technology solutions
- Provide hands on functional and technical knowledge as well as manage client relationships within the context of the role
- Ensure all Power Platform related solutions accurately utilise Microsoft technologies in order to achieve both functional and non-functional requirements, in alignment with Microsoft best practices
- Undertaking structured analysis of customer needs and own the design and architecture of business process solutions
- Translate business requirements into functional and configuration requirements, advising on best practice and where technology options will or won't add value
- Providing best practice input to design activities and identifying design patterns, looking for the opportunity to reuse components
- Estimating requirements for delivery of solutions, working in partnership with Britecloud Sales and pre-sales resources
- Working with your network of peers, you will be responsible for setting and enforcing technical standards and development practice across the company and within clients
- Bringing your personal energy and enthusiasm to your work for clients and for Britecloud
Qualifications, Education Requirements and Required Skills
- You will have implemented Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Virtual Agents and Dataverse - either as part of a business unit or technical partner. You are likely to have 5+ years’ experience and have worked on transformative projects
- You will have a good working knowledge and have worked with Microsoft 365 including areas such as the Graph API and SharePoint Online architecture
- You will be a great and trusted advisor for where technology can add great benefit
- You will develop a partnership with the customers you work with, applying your knowledge, honesty and integrity to the relationship
- You will have first-hand experience of the solution implementation lifecycle and will have held senior roles on complex deployments including being the lead on the technical architecture and design for Power Platform.
- Excellent customer & stakeholder management skills, including the ability to run workshops, get to the heart of the problem and also share knowledge whether that be by upskilling staff or through running training sessions
- Ability to talk about technology, and how Power Platform can make a difference, using business concepts that resonate with business stakeholders
- Strong foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 with particular emphasis on SharePoint online and Azure Active Directory
- Database design best practices and implementation in Azure SQL Server
- Experience of working with the Power Apps portal would be advantageous
- You will have an excellent knowledge of the platform, and ideally have achieved professional certification (MB-200/ MB-210/ MB-220/ MB-230/ MB-240/ MB-900/ PL-100/ PL-200/ PL-400/ PL-900)
Preferred Skills
- Full understanding of the architecture and technologies that make up the Power Platform
- Full understanding of Power Platform Application Lifecycle, Extensibility and Integration points
- Ability to accurately architect a solution, document the technical design and communicate the customisations, configurations, and environments to support the implementation of IT
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues relating to Power Platform environments and application
- Understanding of Azure Tenants and Subscriptions and the services provided which are relevant to a Power Platform implementation (Azure functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus etc)
- Experience with Azure Bot Framework, Microsoft Power Virtual Agents and Power Automate AI Builder
- Broad knowledge of Microsoft platforms and technologies including Microsoft 365
- Development experience including C#, HTML, Powershell, REST/ SOAP Web services, Azure Functions, OAuth, Javascript, JSON, Azure DevOps, Azure Portal
- In-depth understanding of how businesses operate, and where you can advise them of areas of improvement through more effective usage of technology.
- The ability to communicate openly and clearly with staff at different levels. You will be able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical staff.
- You will be an agent of change, driving improvement and have an ability to influence how people operate.
- The confidence to talk to large groups and business stakeholders in a workshop environment where you are leading both the input and the output. Confidence to challenge the customer, confidence to articulate a different view, whilst ensuring everyone remains engaged throughout.
- An understanding of technical governance and the ability to participate in, or deliver, the assurance of a service both in the context of Britecloud delivery and wider customer implementations
- You are capable of producing strategy for technology that meets business needs and able to create, refine and challenge patterns, standards, policies, roadmaps and vision statements.
- A thirst for leading-edge technology, you will be abreast of market trends and be well-sighted on the possibilities of the products we support and how they can provide a significant return on investment for our customers.
Additional Notes
This will be a home-based role, although there will be some travel to customer sites. You may find it helpful to visit our office locations, if the project team wants to work closely together.
