Job Description
We are looking for a Hands-on Software Architect. You will be responsible for taking major technical decisions within the company, focusing on back-end and infrastructure. If you have experience being a founding engineer in an early stage startup, or building a full stack system from ground up in a leading role, we want to hear from you!
Our stack: Python, React, AWS, OpenAI.
Qualifications
- Early-stage SAAS startup experience, responsible for developing critical, customer-facing product features.
- 8+ years of building for the web with a thorough understanding of backend (API design, databases, security), modern frontend (TS, React/Vue, SPA), and cloud/infra (scaling, reliability)
- Love for modern development practices (dev tooling, CI/CD, IaC, etc).
- Experience with a variety of languages, including Python and TypeScript, paradigms, and frameworks, and ability to learn new ones quickly.
- A systematic and rational approach to technical decision-making.
- Proven track record of making architectural decisions, including experience in selecting modern frameworks and tools.
- Comfortable shaping the product in collaboration with adjacent roles (product, design/UX).
- Strong sense of ownership, including troubleshooting production, talking to customers, etc.
- Excellent communication skills
