A Retail business in Lekki is sourcing for a Buyer who will be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our business.
Job Description
- Research, select and purchase quality products and materials for the business.
- Identify and select vendors and suppliers using measures like quantity and quality of product, price, and delivery date
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
- Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
- Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
- Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
- Liaise with Store Manager to plan demand.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
- 4 years relevant experience in procurement/purchasing role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of products in a food production environment
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficient in the use of any ERP software.
