A Retail business in Lekki is sourcing for a Buyer who will be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our business.

Job Description

  • Research, select and purchase quality products and materials for the business.
  • Identify and select vendors and suppliers using measures like quantity and quality of product, price, and delivery date
  • Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
  • Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
  • Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
  • Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
  • Liaise with Store Manager to plan demand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
  • 4 years relevant experience in procurement/purchasing role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of products in a food production environment
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proficient in the use of any ERP software.
