Due to expansion we are recruiting for a Digital Product Manager to join our team!

Create exceptional customer experiences through the definition and delivery of high quality digital products that help EV drivers charge quickly and efficiently.

The Digital Product Manager will be a key member of a high performing team, tasked with delivering an ambitious digital product portfolio across multiple business domains.

This role will focus on creating digital solutions for bp pulse’s back office teams to help them deliver outstanding service (customers, charging network, partnerships).

Job Description

·       Accountable for bp pulse’s back office software solution/portal that will help business teams manage customers, chargers and partners across B2C and B2B domains. The solution will be used my multiple business functions in the UK (with a view to expand globally)

·       Develop and execute a short/medium/long term product roadmap, ensuring alignment with other product managers, business stakeholders and business units

·       Work closely with colleagues within and outside the product function, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance to ensure successful product delivery, in line with expected quality and timelines

·       Be hands-on and willing to lead by example. Must be able and willing to document technical product specifications, such as epics, user stories, acceptance criteria in relevant tools (Azure Dev Ops). Must be comfortable getting into the details

·       Ensure focus on delivering high quality and high value digital products, always built with the user in mind, focussed on design thinking.

·       Ensure relentless focus on generating business value and commercial return. Must be able to ruthlessly prioritise and use data to back decisions

·       Advocate the use of data to support decision making and doing the right thing

·       Understand, research, and follow technical trends in the industry and in general. Able to assess emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage

·       Transform and lead delivery / scrum teams to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality products, promoting a culture of customer centricity

·       Support the creation of a future-proof digital architecture to maximise customer and business value through partnership and innovation
 

Qualifications

·       Proven and successful experience in bringing digital products/software solutions to market

·       Experience in building enterprise scale back office solutions/platform for internal users

·       Experience scaling products for international markets

·       Building, managing and communicating product vision, strategy and roadmaps

·       High degree of technical knowledge, specifically micro-services based architecture

·       Expert in customer and product centric design methods and taking concepts from ideation through to execution

·       Confident working directly with technical leads, development teams and subject matter experts.

·       Deep understanding of digital product development, including tools, ways of working/best practice, agile methodologies

·       Highly experienced working as part of a scrum team, must be able to display practical working experience

·       Highly experienced in capturing requirements, following agile methodology

·       Experience of managing and facilitating product test/QA e.g. UAT

·       Proven track record of operating in high-intensity environments with time critical pressures

·       Self-starter mentality with drive and motivation whilst also being an exceptional communicator who works well within a multidisciplinary team

·       Positive personality, with energetic working style and very strong resilience

·       Combination of structured/holistic thinking with tangible/pragmatic execution

·       Passionate about continuous improvement, process efficiency and working as part of a high performing team

·       Able to work in ‘start-up’ environment, where processes may not be fully defined/refined

·       Degree (preferred), ideally in engineering, computer science, information systems, business or similar field

Agile / Scrum / BA qualifications or accreditations

Additional Information

Flexible working – however, must be able to work from Milton Keynes office on needs basis
