Job Description

Job Purpose / Objective:

The purpose of this position is to factor security concepts to secure premises and personnel for effective surveillance monitoring systems planning, developing and implementing effective security standards, strategies, policies and procedures for all business entities in ROIN having 130+ sites in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.This position will drive Physical Security Management System (PSMS) at various local levels (Manufacturing Plants, Warehouses, BU or Offices) for governance & investigations within the frame work (including Security Concept of Site (SCS) & consulting of local management), monitoring of adequate implementation of local risk mitigation measures (including security services delivered or Guard Service functions) and conducting security investigations at local levels & support internal investigations of Compliance Team.       

Primary Responsibilities:

Management:

•  Region Point of Contact (RPoC) on region related security topics and issues for all Bosch Legal Entities and partners. 
•  International representation of country. 

Implementation and monitoring of Physical Security Governance in the regions based on legal conditions:

  • Drive the implementation of the Physical Security Management System (PSMS) at regional and site levels in accordance with Bosch governance, including the development of Site Security Concepts, risk identification, risk assessment, mitigation planning, and continuous monitoring of security measures in consultation with local management.
  • Analyze the local physical security environment and define appropriate risk mitigation measures based on Bosch corporate directives and inputs from local management and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of the Physical Security Management System at site level, with a focus on risk management, definition of security measures, monitoring, and advisory support.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders at sites, including Site Management, Security Operations, Logistics, Information Security, Health & Safety, Facility Management, and other relevant functions, while driving security communication and awareness initiatives.
  • Monitor changes in the local security landscape through crime analysis, incident reporting, liaison with local authorities, and participation in external security networks.
  • Continuously review and adapt site-specific security strategies and risk assessments in response to evolving threats and business requirements.

Monitoring of adequate implementation of local risk mitigation measures (incl. Security services delivered by Facility Management):

  • Review and monitor the implementation of risk mitigation measures, including ownership, timelines, root cause analysis, residual risk acceptance, and effectiveness, based on the approved Site Security Concept.
  • Conduct risk-based security assessments, spot checks, consulting, and training while providing guidance to local management, Facility Management, and Security Operations teams.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and maturity of the Physical Security Management System, identify security gaps and root causes, and assess the competency of the local security organization.
  • Recommend prioritized, risk-based improvement measures and escalate critical security issues to site, regional, or business management as appropriate.
  • Develop event security plans and ensure the safe execution of corporate events by preventing intentional disruptions and protecting VIPs, participants, personnel, assets, and company property.

Conducting Security investigations at local level & support Compliance Investigations on
request:

  • Implement the corporate security investigation process while considering regional, business, and local requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate security investigations at the local level and promptly report significant security incidents to Regional and Corporate Security in accordance with Bosch security governance.
  • Support Compliance investigations in close coordination with Legal, Human Resources, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Review investigation outcomes to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities, and work with process owners to implement preventive measures and reduce the likelihood of recurrence.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Lead Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in collaboration with the Bosch India Foundation to strengthen Bosch's reputation within local communities, enhance stakeholder engagement, and contribute to risk mitigation around Bosch locations.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in any discipline.
  • Internationally recognized security certifications such as CPP, PCI, CFE, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English

Experience:
(1) Commissioned officer from Defence forces or from Corporate with min 20-25 years service. 
(2) Practical experience in security management in Corporate, Armed forces, Paramilitary or Police.
(3) NO Security-related (negative) entry in official clearance certificates (police, authorities).
(4) Experience in personnel management.

Compliance & Risk Awareness: Well-versed in laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security, privacy, and data protection, with proven ability to ensure compliance and establish robust governance processes.

 

Functional Skills:

Regulatory & Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of state regulations, security norms, procedures, and industrial best practices. Skilled in conceptualizing and implementing advanced security solutions.

Training & Communication: Proficient in designing and leading trainings and workshops. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including effective liaison with law enforcement and external agencies.

Leadership & Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire multi-location security teams, set clear objectives, provide guidance, and foster a high-performance, collaborative culture.

Risk Management: Expert in conducting risk assessments, identifying threats, and developing actionable risk mitigation strategies aligned with organizational priorities.

Business-Aligned Security Strategy: Solid understanding of business operations, objectives, and industry dynamics. Capable of aligning security strategies with business goals and advising C-level executives on balanced, operationally efficient security solutions.
