Job Description
This position will be contracted through Bosch’s external vendor under a one-year agreement.
Job Description
The VnV Engineer creates high quality Software/SiL test specifications considering various relevant test scenarios, ensuring early defect detection in the Software Development Life-Cycle.
VnV Engineer ensures test automation by writing test scripts based on the test specifications and within the defined automated test environment, ensures test execution as per test plan, documentation of defects/issues and reporting in a timely manner.
Main tasks and Responsibilities:
Test Specification
- Analyses Software design / Software architecture / Software requirements / Software Interfaces including security, legal, safety to check testability.
- Creates test specification (Test implementation – Test Cases) according to VnV Strategy.
- Establishes bidirectional traceability & consistency between Software requirements / Software architecture / Software Interface and Software test specification (test cases).
- Applies the appropriate test design techniques and guidelines to implement the required test specifications.
- Considers and apply proper boundaries of test environment (SIL, HIL, etc.)
- Initiates and participate into required review: Requirement review, Test specification review, Test report review, etc.
- Baselines the test specification as per the configuration management strategy and tool
Test Automation
- Automate the test cases (test scripts) based on the test specifications
- Ensures that automated test scripts are reusable (e.g., creation of libraries etc.), understandable and maintainable by other users
- Ensures that all automated testing related activities are carried out as per the process defined in test strategy
- Establish the bi-directional traceability and consistency between test implementation and test specification
- Participate and support debug sessions (as per need) and ensures the test automation is successfully running in the test environment
- Ensure the test scripts are reviewed and review findings are addressed
- Baselines the test scripts as per the configuration management strategy and tool
Test Execution
- Performs the test execution (manual or automated) as per the defined procedures or steps in the test specification
- Analyze and evaluate the test results, report the defects and prepare reports related to the testing performed
- Ensure that all testing related tasks are carried out as per the defined standards and process
- Ensures bidirectional traceability and consistency between test cases included in the test specification and test results
- Ensures bi-directional traceability and consistency between the change request (tasks) and the work products (testcases and test reports) affected by the change request
- Supports V&V Architect for creating the Test summary report and assess the remaining the risk due to unsolved defects
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor / Master degree, major in electronics or mechatronics or computer science.
- Experience in Automotive SW development
- Good understanding of Microcontroller & embedded system.
- Good hold on reading customer specifications.
- Good knowledge about AUTOSAR.
- Self-discipline, self-motivation and strong teamwork spirit.
- Good communication skills and English both in oral and written.
Competence/Skills
- Technical experience in system and/or software testing, aligned with the scope of the Feature/Function Team.
- Experience with Embedded C, C-programming, Python-programming and AUTOSAR Architecture.
- Experience with CAN/LIN/UWB/NFC/BLE protocols.
- Experience with JTAG & CAN-Flash, as well as Flashing sequence.
- Hands-on experience with test tools and facilities such as ETAS CoSym / Vector vVirtualTarget (or equivalent), CANoe, ARXML, DBC-format and debuggers.
- Experience with Software Development Life-Cycle as well as vECU standard: FMU, FMI, DLL or equivalent.
- Experience with V-model and ASPICE is preferred.
- Experience with Automation – Automated test & AI-powered automation test is preferred.
- Knowledge of security and safety concepts is an advantage.
