Job Description
Your contribution to something big:
- Design and implement robust backend systems using Python 3.10+ and Django 5+, extending and optimizing database models
- Implement, maintain and refactor secure APIs, actively transitioning existing endpoints into Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Architect and automate CI/CD pipelines using Docker Compose and internal cloud/VM infrastructures to ensure continuous integration and deployment.
- Secure our applications by creating automated vulnerability scanning pipelines and integrating secret managers into the build process.
- Conduct high-quality code reviews, run integration testing with frontend developers.
- Monitor and optimize backend performance, ensuring compliance with Bosch's global software engineering and security guidelines.
Qualifications
What distinguishes you:
Education: University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Solid professional experience in backend software development with a strong focus on Python and relational databases.
- Demonstrated experience building, refactoring, and maintaining RESTful APIs in production environments.
- Practical experience setting up and operating CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and cloud hosting platforms.
Know how:
- Strong expertise in Python 3.10+ and Django 5+.
- Deep understanding of Django ORM, SQL database design (ideally PostgreSQL), and Django REST Framework.
- DevOps & Infrastructure: Solid knowledge of CI/CD concepts, Git workflow, Docker/Docker Compose, and cloud-native application hosting.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, database modeling practices, cloud platforms (e.g., Cloud Foundry), and automated vulnerability scanning tools.
Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Working Style and Methods: An analytical and structured problem solver.

- A collaborative team player who communicates effectively across technical boundaries.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to drive process optimization and system reliability.
