with headquarters in Modugno (BA) and about 310 employees, is the largest Research and Development center of the Bosch Group in Italy, where the Common Rail system was born and developed in the 1980s.

In addition to the consolidated activity on high pressure pumps, CVIT developed the DNOX system for the reduction of nitrogen oxides from exhaust gases for commercial vehicles. In collaboration with the main car manufacturers and the parent company, it carries out activities in the field of engineering for applications on engines and vehicles, studies electronic systems for service and calibration on diesel, gasoline, hybrid and electric engines and recently also motorcycles, having facilities available for Testing activities, equipped with the most up-to-date equipment.

Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Cloud Developer who is eager to grow in the field of automotive connected services. This opportunity is ideal for students close to graduation or recent graduates who want to build hands-on experience in cloud-native applications and IoT platforms.

You will work alongside experienced engineers to design and develop scalable cloud solutions and microservice-based architectures. From backend development to CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure, you will have the chance to learn, experiment, and progressively take ownership of technical components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of microservices and REST APIs using Java (Spring Boot).
  • Support the implementation of event-driven architectures using messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Collaborate in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) using containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Assist in automating infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance using Jenkins.
  • Work with different data storage technologies, including NoSQL and time-series databases.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and actively collaborate within cross-functional teams.
  • Continuously learn and apply best practices in software quality, security, and performance.

Qualifications

Skills and Professionalism

Master’s degree in one of the following fields is required:

  • Electronic Engineering

Required Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of object-oriented programming (preferably Java).
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs and web services.
  • Familiarity (academic or personal projects) with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization concepts (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong analytical thinking and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and professional proficiency in English.
