Job Description
This position required the understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes to effectively support the operational team with highly optimized reporting tools and workflows.
Bridging the gap between logistics operations and digital analytics, this role is responsible for both the hands-on execution of recurring planning reports and the driving of digital innovation. The successful candidate will streamline the team's daily workload by designing, migrating, and optimizing analytics tools (using Power BI, SQL, and automation) to ensure fast, high-quality operational decision-making.
1. Daily & Weekly Reporting Execution & Progress Tracking
- Routine Reporting Ownership: Directly execute, validate, and distribute recurring (daily, weekly, monthly) supply chain and planning reports (e.g., vendor backlogs, customer backlogs, and operational KPIs) to internal plants and external partners.
- Data Integrity: Perform rigorous hands-on validation of data before report distribution, troubleshooting discrepancies to guarantee 100% data accuracy.
2. Business Intelligence & Power BI Development
- Dashboard Creation: Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to transition static, manual report execution into self-service analytics.
- Data Modeling: Design robust data models in Power BI using Power Query and write efficient DAX expressions to support both legacy operational reports and new metrics.
- Visual Storytelling: Translate complex data points into easy-to-understand visual narratives for cross-functional leadership teams.
3. Data Extraction & SQL Querying
- Database Querying: Write and execute robust SQL queries to extract, join, and manipulate large-scale datasets from relational databases for both ad-hoc analyses and recurring reports.
- Query Optimization: Refine SQL queries to minimize database load and accelerate the delivery of daily/weekly reports.
- Database Integration: Connect relational databases smoothly to Power BI and other analytics platforms.
4. Process Improvement & Reporting Automation
- Audit Legacy Reporting: Evaluate existing manual report compilation methods (e.g., heavy Excel sheets, manual copy-pasting, multi-source data compilation) to find automation opportunities.
- Implement Automation: Design and implement automated pipelines using Power Automate, Python, or database procedures to eliminate manual intervention in the daily reporting execution.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion digital transformation initiatives to reduce the time-to-delivery of operational reports.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, logistics analytics, or digital operations reporting.
Core Technical Skills
- Power BI: Deep expertise in Power BI Desktop and Service (Power Query, DAX, data modeling, security, and workspaces)
- SQL: Strong hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries (joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions).
- Automation Platforms: Familiarity with automation tools like Power Automate (MS Flow), Power Apps, or scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data scraping and task automation.
Professional & Domain Skills
- Supply Chain Domain: Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations.
- Analytical Mindset: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a passion for auditing raw data to find structural operational issues.
- Communication: Ability to clearly present complex analytical findings to non-technical operational partners and leadership.
