PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction began in May 2021, and first series of production commenced in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and structured IT Project Lead to join our dynamic logistics team.

System & Application Ownership

  • Act as the Key User / System Owner for critical logistics IT systems, including:
    • SAP S/4HANA (with a focus on MM, SD, WM/EWM modules)
    • Warehouse Management Systems (EWM)
    • Key Interfaces (e.g., ASN/EDI, MES integration, scanners, automation systems)
  • Ensure the system availability, stability, and performance required for seamless logistics operations.
  • Manage and oversee system master data governance, including material, vendor, storage location, and batch information.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Lead first-level and second-level support for all logistics IT incidents and problems.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure issues are resolved efficiently, including:
    • Central IT (global support teams)
    • External vendors (e.g., SAP, WMS, and automation suppliers)
  • Ensure timely resolution of all issues to prevent production disruption and line-down risks.

Process Digitalization & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive digitalization initiatives within the logistics department, such as creating paperless processes and integrating automation.
  • Analyze and optimize system usage to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Implement standardized solutions and best practices across all sites.

Interface & Integration Management

  • Monitor and maintain all critical system interfaces, including:
    • ASN / EDI integration with suppliers (e.g., Amkor, Advantek).
    • Integration with MES / Production systems.
    • Integration with forwarders and logistics service providers.
  • Ensure absolute data consistency across all integrated systems.
  • Support the setup, testing, and deployment of new interfaces as required.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Logistics, or a similar discipline). 
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in an IT or logistics environment.
  • Solid hands-on experience with SAP systems; specific knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
