Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Operator 1 to join our team in St. Joseph, United States. As an Operator 1, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth production processes and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Operate and monitor various production equipment and machinery
- Load, assemble, and unload parts and components from different machines
- Conduct regular quality inspections on parts and components to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate production records
- Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities and report any machine anomalies
- Assist in training new employees and cross-train on other functions within the team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with 5S philosophy
- Contribute to continuous improvement processes (CIP) and participate in Kaizen events
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and goals
- Perform other essential duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Previous machine operator experience is helpful but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use and operate hand and air tools
- Proficiency in reading various types of functional gauges
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
- Good interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Basic math skills for measurements and record-keeping
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Flexibility to work overtime when required, sometimes with little advance notice
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety procedures (preferred)
- Commitment to workplace safety and willingness to follow all safety protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions efficiently
