Company Description

Bosch first started its operations in Vietnam in 1994 and registered a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2008. According to the business strategy of Bosch in Vietnam, from 1st July 2014 on all business entities were merged into Bosch Vietnam Co. Ltd. with its head office at Ho Chi Minh City plant (HcP) in Dong Nai Province.

HcP has started its belt assembly in a rented building on 1st August 2008 as the assembly plant of Tilburg Plant (TbP). On 14th April 2011, HcP celebrated the inauguration of the new plant (Lth101 with 17,000 sqm), which did not only allow to increase the production depth, but also to facilitate the push belt assembly of this high-tech product. On 3rd July 2012 HcP marked a big milestone by starting to produce the second component (loop-set) for its push belt. Since November 2012, HcP doubled the production floor space and increase the net total floor space up to 56.000 m², and have successfully increased its production capacity and realized a lot of new line SOP’s.

Job Description

Management Systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001)

  • Audit Management: Lead and coordinate annual ISO internal and external audits for HcP; manage audit life-cycles from planning to closing findings.  
  • System Governance: Develop and maintain core EHS documentation, including objectives, policies, and risk & opportunity assessments (HIRA/Aspect-Impact) to ensure system integrity.  
  • Corrective Actions: Drive the resolution of audit non-conformities by collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).  1.4/ Management Review: Facilitate annual EHS Management Reviews with leadership teams to evaluate system performance and drive strategic decision-making. 

EHS Business Partnering & Service Excellence 

  • System Expansion: Design, implement, and maintain ISO-compliant EHS frameworks specifically tailored for R&D and Office environments.  
  • Advisory Role: Serve as a dedicated HSE & Sustainability Business Partner, providing technical expertise and safety solutions to R&D and Office leadership. 
  • Performance Reporting: Deliver high-level EHS performance updates and strategic insights to the management team to foster a proactive safety culture. 

Compliance, Data Analytics & Continuous Improvement 

  • Strategic Analytics: Monitor EHS & Sustainability KPIs and industry trends; utilize data-driven insights to spearhead S-CIP  
  • Regulatory Compliance: Conduct comprehensive EHS compliance evaluations and lead internal audits to ensure adherence to Bosch Corporate Requirements and local laws.  
  • Sustainability Reporting: Oversee the accuracy and timely submission of EHS & Sustainability reports (GHG, waste, water, etc.) meeting both Vietnamese legal mandates and Bosch global standards.

Environmental & Chemical Stewardship 

  • Chemical Governance: Manage the end-to-end chemical safety program for Plants, R&D, and Offices, ensuring rigorous control of hazardous substances per Bosch and legal standards. 
  • Environmental Protection: Implement and monitor environmental protection programs (waste management, emission control, water conservation) to minimize the site's environmental footprint. 

Associate Engagement & EHS and Sustainability Culture 

  • Design and execute campaigns (e.g., Sustainability Week, Safety Basics) to increase associate awareness and engagement 
  • Conduct EHS training and coaching sessions to empower employees and line managers in safety leadership 

Qualifications

Education:

  •  Bachelor degree of Occupational Health & Safety/ or Environmental Management 
  •  A current relevant environmental protection and HSE (e.g., ESG, CDP, GRI, NEBOSH certification or equivalent) 

Work experience:

  • 3-5 years' experience in HSE management relevant to position
  • Good computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office 
  • Experience in ISO 14001, ISO 45001 

Traits and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of EMS/ SMS, auditing standards and relevant regulations
  • Be able to develop a trend analysis process to eliminate accident/ injury/ environmental parameters 
  • Training and presentation skills, high integrity, and entrepreneurial mindset 
  • Excellent leadership skills in HSE, and sustainability 
  • Ability to perform hazard identification and risk assessment 
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills able to work with and through people from different backgrounds and cultures 
  • Fluent in English
