Job Description

Responsible for collaborating with Bethlehem teams on strategies and execution to continuously improve processes, efficiency, and implement advanced technologies and solutions, to further strengthen our business and competitiveness. The areas of responsibilities are Quality Management for Production Value Streams, Sales and supporting areas.

  • Deviation Management (Customer, internal and Plant to Plant) supporting shop floor and other areas in the plant.
  • Facilitate / coordinate Deviation Management process, supporting shop floor and other areas on defining the problem, measurement strategy, root cause analysis and establishment of improvements and process control.
  • Guide through trainings and support Operations, Engineering and supporting areas structured problem solving.
  • Drive robust Preventive Actions identifying underlying process gaps to prevent recurrence of significant product quality issues.
  • Coordinates process improvement teams to measure, analyze and improve process capability of machining, assembly, and test processes in various value streams.
  • Write procedures and/or work instructions and train applicable personnel on new process implementation and process improvement.
  • Identify and implement process design and specification changes for improved quality/cost/manufacturing.
  • Assist with development and verification of hardware and software solutions that contributes to business goals.
  • Facilitate FMEA reviews, Problem solving activities, Quality initiatives and Quality assessments.
  • Supplier Quality Engineer for products supplied by other Bosch Rexroth plants, issuing claims and requesting corrective actions.
  • APQP and PPAP activities, if requested by the customer, as well as customer's contact on quality topics.
  • Drives quality improvement Project in Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales and supporting areas.
  • Coordinate Quality Management System (QMS) activities, driving improvements, and maintaining compliance with the ISO9001-2015 Quality Management System throughout the organization.
  • May conduct internal audits, including creating audit reports, closing out audit findings, as well as support on process, product and system audits performed by accredited institutions (preparation, follow-up and reporting)

 

Qualifications

  • Min. four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or related field from an accredited institution (ex.  CHEA)
  • Ability to take initiative, set strategic priorities, take ownership and leadership of assigned projects and independently drive for results according to plan.
  • Experience with data storage/data mining (ie. Access, Excel) and be hands-on mechanically to understand the meaning of the data.
  • Knowledge of OutSystems and/or Power BI preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and knowledge of analytical problem-solving techniques such as 8D, Shainin, Six Sigma or similar
  • Experience with working together in teams and providing positive input to achieve defined quality goals.
  • Ability to lead in both projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in a manufacturing-oriented organization and familiar with Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication as well as presentation skills
