Job Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our dynamic team in Norman, Oklahoma. In this role, you'll be the welcoming face of our organization, delivering exceptional service to our valued customers while maintaining an organized and efficient sales counter. You'll combine your product knowledge with genuine interpersonal skills to create positive shopping experiences and drive customer satisfaction.   • Greet customers warmly and professionally, addressing their inquiries and assisting them with purchases in a timely manner
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process transactions, including cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
  • Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge and provide informed recommendations to help customers make confident purchasing decisions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales counter area that reflects our company standards
  • Handle customer concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism, working toward effective resolutions
  • Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management to ensure product availability and accuracy
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, inclusive shopping environment and support overall store operations
  • Perform basic administrative tasks including record-keeping and documentation with attention to detail
  • Assist with warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving activities, when needed
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure smooth, compliant operations
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality to support team reliability and customer service excellence

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of retail or customer service experience
  • Demonstrated ability to handle cash and process payments accurately
  • Reliable attendance and strong punctuality record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
  • Strong mathematical abilities for accurate transaction processing and cash reconciliation
  • Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications
  • In-depth product knowledge or proven ability to quickly learn and retain product information
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence with a friendly, supportive, and empathetic approach
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds regularly
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Team player mentality with collaborative and inclusive approach to working with colleagues
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to address customer concerns constructively
  • Experience with inventory management and stock control
  • Willingness to pursue forklift certification (training provided)
