Job Description

 

  • Collects, organizes and analyzes data sets to draw conclusions to maximize efficiency of internal operational processes, to manage risk, and to position the company to better serve clients through enhanced data defect remediation strategies.
  • Responsible for drawing insights from large sets of quantitative data. May use advanced analytics technologies, systems and software to prepare relevant reporting. 
  • Develops data-driven recommendations that support key business decisions across the company. 
  • Performs analysis and prepares forecasts and recommendations for data remediation activities for 3, 6, 9, and 12 month periods. 
  • Researches data defects opened, performing triage analysis to ensure proper prioritization and assignment of all new issues. 
  • Analyzes, compiles and reviews data defect artifacts post implementation to ensure remediation activities performed sufficiently to justify closure of resolved issues.
  • Creates reports and presents findings regarding data management program to internal stakeholders.
  • Assists in the integration of multiple data sources into centralized data warehouse.
  • Surfaces emerging issues and conducts research to produce insights into data remediation processes, recommends potential improvements.
  • Assists in the review and verification of historical data and information.
  • Suggests and implements improvements to the triage and reporting function.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Complies with all organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Must have banking experience, 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience is required.

  • Ability to focus on details to ensure and maintain data accuracy.

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience preferred in monitoring and/or escalating data quality issues until resolution.

  • Knowledge of data management best practices.

  • Experience with Tableau strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience using Microsoft Excel, Access, and SQL.
