The Opportunity

Our Australian Steel Markets business is looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Partner to support our BlueScope business in South Australia.

Working as part of a national safety team you will have the opportunity to be part of an organisation who is always focused on ensuring we are up to date with new methods and advancements in Safety, Health and Wellbeing,

What Will You Do?

Working across our Adelaide operations, with a primary presence at O'Sullivan Beach, you will partner with leaders across multiple sites to strengthen HSE performance and drive continuous improvement. Working closely with leadership teams, you will help shape practical solutions that keep our people safe and support business success.

You will:

• partner with leaders to improve safety culture and performance
• lead critical risk reviews and significant incident investigations
• coach leaders to identify and manage risk effectively
• provide trusted HSE advice across multiple business operations
• drive implementation of HSE plans and improvement initiatives
• influence positive change and better safety outcomes

You are an experienced HSE Partner who thrives in operational environments and knows how to influence outcomes through strong relationships and practical leadership.

You will bring:

• proven HSE experience in a complex operational environment
• the ability to influence and challenge leaders constructively
• strong risk management and governance capability
• experience with critical risks and incident investigations
• a passion for driving continuous improvement
• excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• the ability to work independently and deliver results
