The Opportunity

BlueScope Building Components has multiple opportunities for Team Members to join our production team based in Novar Gardens. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through our leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders and Ranbuild.

No previous operations or manufacturing experience? No problem - we provide comprehensive on-the-job training and ongoing support to help you build a long-term career with us.

What We Offer

These full-time, permanent roles offer a competitive weekly rate starting from $1,061.72, with the ability to progress to $1,124.80, depending on your skills and experience. You’ll also be eligible for overtime, public holiday pay and quarterly bonus. Our operations run 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, with opportunities across day, afternoon and night shifts. Afternoon shift attracts a 15% shift loading allowance and night shift attracts a 30% shift loading allowance.

Shift times include:

  • Day shift: 6:30 am–2:30 pm
  • Afternoon shift: 2:30 pm–10:30 pm
  • Night shift: 10:30pm – 6:30am (commencing Sunday evenings)

What Will You Do?

In this role, you will be part of the team producing our high-quality steel products, with a strong focus on safety and attention to detail to ensure only the finest quality is delivered – on time, every time.

Your day-to-day work can include:

  • supporting and promoting a safe working environment
  • operating machinery to process and manufacture our products
  • operating equipment such as forklift and cranes
  • packing, strapping, and checking products for quality

The role involves manual handling and lifting, as well as working in a manufacturing environment where noise and seasonal temperature changes are expected. We provide the training, support and equipment you need to work safely and successfully.

Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process is designed to give you the chance to learn more about us while we get to know you. It involves:

  • submitting your application
  • completing an online assessment
  • attending an online information session on Wednesday, 15 July 2026.
  • attending a face-to-face Assessment Centre and site tour on Tuesday, 21 July 2026 or Wednesday, 22 July 2026
  • if successful, prior to commencing, you will be required to successfully complete pre-employment medical (including a drug and alcohol screen) and reference checks.
