The Opportunity

BlueScope Distribution is looking for a Customer Service Manager to join the Customer Service team based in Eagle Farm. BlueScope Distribution is a single-source provider of product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium product. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.

Leading the Trade Coast Customer Service Officers, Programmers and Estimating teams; you will play a vital part in developing our people, strengthening their capability and capacity to meet evolving requirements. Equally you will ensure our customers and key accounts receive consistent service while managing supply excellence within the Brisbane market.

What Will You Do?

Providing leadership and driving team performance to deliver the business and customer service strategy, you will: 

  • be responsible for all customers in the sales district including sales execution, fulfilment execution and service excellence
  • guide and coach team members, setting clear measurable goals and activities to aligned with the business strategy and goals 
  • mentor team members to achieve enhanced capability and support their professional development 
  • act as the contact for key customers for all supply and purchasing matters 
  • work closely with other internal teams such as sales, operations and business development to design suitable product and service offers aligned to customer needs and business capability 
  • enhance the customer experience through improvement plans, CRM management, ongoing customer reviews and suitable inventory management 

More About You

You have gained your experience in customer service, sales, account management or supply chain function where you have led others within a B2B environment. In addition, you will bring:  

  • success in developing others which saw their professional growth and enhanced overall team performance 
  • demonstrated success in cultivating highly collaborative team cultures
  • proficiency in using data and analytics to evaluate performance and identify strategic opportunities
  • expertise in managing and championing key business accounts to ensure long-term success
  • market-facing experience where you refined your customer or supplier relationship management skills 
  • experience using SAP and Amazon Phone System is highly desirable
