The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our National Operations team in our BlueScope Distribution business as a Project Engineer. BlueScope Distribution is a provider of single-source product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification.  BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.

In this challenging and exciting role, you will provide engineering expertise and support to develop, assess and implement improvement opportunities across BlueScope Distribution.

What Will You Do?

This role will see you provide ongoing electrical engineering design & project engineering expertise, ensuring that project deliverables are achieved safely within the agreed time, appropriate levels of quality & within budget, where you will:

  • provide engineering design, project engineering and project management expertise
  • provide engineering support to maintenance, operations and other engineering disciplines, to deliver solutions that maintain and sustain a safe and reliable plant
  • ensure design solutions comply with codes, standards and statutory requirements
  • lead and implement improvement projects

More About You

As a qualified Engineer with project experience, you will have technical and analytical knowledge, with a strong safety focus.

You will have:

  • tertiary qualifications in either a mechanical /electrical/ mechatronics engineering discipline
  • experience in either mechanical, electrical or mechatronics design and project management
  • sound understanding of equipment technology and operation
  • the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • effective work planning and project management skills
  • an ability to identify and effectively communicate with key stakeholders
