The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Orrcon Steel business in our Finance team as an Administration Officer. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands. 

Working within a small and supportive team, you’ll look after the cash sales and creditor accounts for our Orrcon Branches across Australia.  You’ll work closely and build relationships with our dedicated customer service teams and branch managers in ensuring the business and customer finance needs are effectively identified. You’ll apply appropriate solutions and support through a customer focused approach.   

This role is a full-time position working Monday to Friday.  

What Will You Do?

If you have exceptional attention to detail and an ability to build strong relationships, you will: 

• perform account reconciliation
• action accounts payable invoices/credit notes
• look after vendor maintenance and requisitions
• provide quality data entry and general processing
• respond to requests for information and support for customer service
• provide general administration support where required

 More About You

As a quick learner, you’ll be comfortable with systems and numbers while providing exceptional customer service. You will bring:

• previous accounts payable and receivable experience
• knowledge and experience of MS Office and SAP or similar ERP systems
• a passion to problem-solve by identifying root cause and developing resolutions
• a positive attitude and willingness to work within the team
• a commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for others
