The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Commercial Credit team as a Credit Analyst based in Mt Waverley VIC.  As BlueScope continues to grow as a business, we will continue to strengthen our commercial team by looking to bring new capabilities into the function.

We are transforming our Credit Team and we are looking for a Credit Analyst to join us on our journey.  In this newly created role, you will comprehensively review and evaluate the credit history of our potential and existing small to medium customers.  Through thorough analysis you will identify the risk level to allow us to make informed decisions when we are extending credit. 

What Will You Do?

In this exciting opportunity, where you can apply your credit experience to build and grow your role, you will: 

• analyse and assess the financial statements and credit history of existing and potential clients
• review credit applications and perform risk assessments to make informed decisions backed by a sound review
• consult and negotiate with our customers regarding financial transactions, payment terms and credit limits
• actively collaborate with our internal teams ensuring our customer's financial needs are effectively identified and solutions are delivered through a customer-focused approach
• keep abreast of financial news and trends, understand business, economic, and industry risk that may impact our business

More About You

As a Credit Analyst who enjoys collaborating with others in bringing new ideas and challenging the status quo, you will bring: 

• expertise in analysing and assessing financial statements
• ability to interpret and translate information from credit mercantile reports, and an understanding of liquidation and administration activity
• competent Excel skills, experience with ERP systems and ability to navigate credit mercantile platforms
