The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Orrcon Steel business in our Salisbury Manufacturing team as a Production Operator. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and a leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands. 

Production Operators work in a continuous production environment. They operate machinery to create smarter solutions for our customers, while monitoring product quality, remaining committed to their safety and that of the team. You will receive ongoing training and support to learn all aspects of our Production Operator role allowing for future career development opportunities.

We are excited to be offering multiple opportunities for permanent Operations team members for our Salisbury plant.  No previous Manufacturing or Operations experience required!  

We have roles available on two rosters:

1. Monday to Friday day, afternoon and night (Sun night to Thurs night)  (rotating roster)

2. Work across a 24/7 roster (rotating roster) 

What Will You Do?

You will be a valued member of our manufacturing team working in the company’s largest Mill. This role will see you:

• successfully contribute to a safe working environment
• operating machinery to manufacture our steel pipe and tube
• safely packing and strapping our steel products
• performing machinery maintenance and cleaning
• potentially required to learn to use overhead gantry cranes and drive forklifts

Previous operations or manufacturing experience is not essential. What we care about is your enthusiasm, work ethic and ability to go above and beyond for your work colleagues.
