The Opportunity

With a proud history starting in Adelaide, today Fielders manufactures and markets steel building products across Australia. We deliver customer-inspired outcomes that support architects, engineers, builders, installers and property owners in creating their vision.

Leading a team of fifteen personnel in this hands-on role, you will offer key guidance in the areas of safety, people, quality, training and governance. This will see you support teams on the night shift with cross interaction with the afternoon and dayshift teams.

This role works on the nightshift, 10pm to 6am.

What Will You Do?

With a strong focus on teamwork, in this role you will:

  • lead and supervise our operations area inclusive of safety, scheduling, manufacturing, maintenance and stores activities
  • manage resources such as people, equipment and costs in line with business requirements and policies
  • identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance outcomes, striving for consistent in full and on time delivery
  • ensure safety standards are adhered to, making suitable changes when risks and opportunities are identified
  • coach and mentor your team to develop their technical knowledge and operations skills
