Job Description

The electrical team provides essential maintenance support and works on upgrades and projects in our in Salisbury production facilities. They use their diverse set of skills and expertise on our production machines to ensure maximum up-time, productivity and efficiency, so that our teams can continue manufacturing our world class Australian steel products.

We have x2 Electrician positions that will work in a diverse and interesting environment and will have you actively participanting in reliability, continuous improvement, projects, root cause analysis, planning and preventative maintenance.

This position reports to the Electrical Reliability Team Leader and works in-conjunction with the Reliability Planner and the wider electrical team.

Responsibilities include:

  • driving output improvements in liaison with production teams
  • ensuring a timely response to breakdowns;
  • provision of out of hours support to the team (shared roster);
  • planning and organizing for shutdowns;
  • being a champion of safety;
  • shift cover as required and; and
  • working on a ‘4 on 4 off’ roster.

Who are we looking for?

You will be an industrial electrician with at least 2 years experience, hold a current Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic license, and have knowledge and exposure to:

  • PLC’s;
  • Variable speed drives;
  • AC/DC Drive; and
  • Automation concepts.

A sense of urgency, a strong drive to assist with production improvements and an unwavering focus on safety is essential, as is clear and accurate communication, professionalism and enthusiasm.
