Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Fielders team as a Business Development Manager within the Architectural space. 

Reporting to the WA Sales & Marketing Manager, your key focus will be to expand and grow our current market segments and develop into new markets using focused strategies to ensure profitable growth of our revenue base.  You will grow and develop the project and product space within the WA segment and will have the opportunity to manage projects from concept to completion.

This role will see you:

  • Build effective & lasting relationships within the Architectural, Engineering and Building communities;
  • Educate Architects, Engineers and Builders, internal teams, and other customers and suppliers on the optimised use of our products and solutions;
  • Work closely with Architects, Engineers and Builders to obtain specifications for projects;
  • Ensure the successful handover to the sales team to quote and convert the sales on the specified products through robust pipeline management;
  • Develop proposals for key business development prospects with clear business strategies to grow revenue base;
  • Drive the preparation of capital proposals to support any new market or product initiatives as required; and
  • Attend architectural industry events to showcase our products and network.

Who are we looking for?

We welcome applications from those who have worked in a similar Business Development role with established networks in the Architectural, Building and Project Management space or those with an Architectural or Engineering background who would like the opportunity to broaden your experience within a robust organisation where you can increase your profile and become an industry guru in steel product solutions.

You will have the following experience and competencies:

  • sound knowledge of the construction practices in roofing, walling/façade systems and structural flooring. 
  • proven track record in obtaining specifications or successful projects you have worked on as an Architect;
  • technical sales skills with superior influencing and relationship management ability; 
  • demonstrated ability to translate key customer requirements into improved product and service offerings; and sound project management skills; and
  • Good attention to detail, project pipeline management and CRM database experience.
