We are seeking an experienced Senior Environment Advisor to join our Environment and Sustainability team at Port Kembla, NSW. 

In this role you will work with key internal and external stakeholders to protect and further the standing of Manufacturing with regards to environmental governance and environmental improvement initiatives/ programmes.  The role will also focus on energy efficiency including consideration of legislation and activities relating to land, water and waste.

Staying abreast of the relevant environmental legislation, you will investigate emerging issues and provide recommendations that identify opportunities or compliance actions. You will develop and maintain productive relationships with key external stakeholders, particularly the EPA, Planning Authorities, Ports Corp, Local Council and the Community.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful, you will have experience in a similar environmental role ideally within a heavy industrial environment including knowledge of the associated legislation.

Critical to your success will be your attention to detail and ability to understand complex standards, technical methodologies and environmental legislation, and be able to determine their relevance to BlueScope activities.

Tertiary qualifications in either Environmental Science; Environmental Engineering; or an appropriate Science related discipline.
