What is the role?

Our State Commercial Managers contribute to the financial success and management of our business across a range of commercial activities at a strategic and operational level. They provide strategic and operational direction across financial, commercial, analytical and governance processes. They are instrumental in ensuring that effective financial controls, risk management and reporting accuracy are maintained.

Based in Emu Plains, NSW, you will be responsible for the financial management of our NSW business which comprises of 9 branches and over 300 employees. The work will be varied and will include developing, implementing and managing the financial strategy of the business, steering the critical commercial decisions and ultimately ensuring that the business continues to retain and grow on its success.

Who are we looking for?

We required a strategic Commercial Manager who has worked at a senior level in Financial Management and who has the ability to drive financial excellence. You will enjoy the full support of our State and National Leadership team, across areas such as Finance, Sales and Legal.

Our NSW business is a primary contributor to the overall BlueScope Building Component business in Australia and you will require:

·       at least 10 years’ or relevant experience,

·       CPA or equivalent qualifications,

·       commercial experience in a similar size business,

This position will suit a Commercial Manager who has experience in sales, retail and supply chain/logistics environment and can leverage a team of financial analysts. Value add manufacturing will be an advantage but is not essential.
