About the role

Bring your technical knowledge, improve how we work, and help deliver safe, high-quality energy solutions.
We’re looking for a Metering SME to provide technical expertise and leadership across metering operations in Queensland.
In this role, you’ll support field teams, customers, and partners to ensure metering installations and maintenance are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll play a key role in enabling strong performance across field services, while helping to improve processes and build capability across the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical advice and support to field teams, customers, and partners.
- Ensure installation and maintenance activities are delivered safely and to quality standards.
- Support and guide technicians to resolve issues and deliver strong outcomes.
- Coordinate and support field activities, ensuring compliance requirements are met.
- Develop and deliver technical training, manuals, and guidance materials.
- Conduct audits, investigations, and reporting to improve performance and standards.
- Work closely with stakeholders to enhance processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to complete metering installations to cover resource gaps.
- Contribute to health, safety, and quality initiatives across field operations.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with strong technical expertise who also enjoys collaboration and mentoring others. You will ideally bring:
- 5+ years of smart metering experience in QLD.
- A QLD relevant Electrical Licence and current Drivers Licence.
- Extensive knowledge of AS3000, MIRs, SIRs and QLD QECM Rules.
- Construction Industry Safety Induction Card.
- UEENEEG171A install, set up, and commission interval metering qualification or equivalent.
- Experience of incident management process and systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience supporting or guiding others, including training, mentoring and auditing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams and stakeholders, with sound computer and IT skills.
- Motivated self-starter who can organise their weekly schedule and drives safe, compliant outcomes.
