Job Description
In this role, the Senior Network Engineer will work directly with the end client’s network and IT infrastructure team as well as BlueAlly project-based consultants supporting the network segmentation assessment and follow-on design/implementation initiative(s). You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the end client’s network and security infrastructure. As a Senior Network Engineer, you may also be required to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
This role will require one day per week onsite at customer location in midtown Atlanta.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage network and security infrastructure to include, but not limited to, LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks
Develop and/or maintain up-to-date documentation of network architecture(s), design(s), configurations, processes, and procedures
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely and accurate manner to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and minimal downtime
Actively support and assist in the design, planning, and implementation of network segmentation for both wired and wireless networks throughout the enterprise
Apply broad technical expertise to address business challenges
Develop an in-depth understanding of the end client’s network and security infrastructure and associated working environment(s)
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations
Provide technical support to junior network engineers and/or other end client IT staff
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field) or equivalent experience
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent professional certifications(s)
7+ years of relevant experience in a network engineering or related role, preferably with recent and/or prior experience in healthcare
Strong knowledge of network and security architecture, design, technologies, and best practices
Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and associated solutions/technologies, preferably within a predominantly Cisco-centric environment
Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Strong communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act independently with minimal supervision
Required Skills:
Cisco Software Defined Access (SDA)
Knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
Preferred experience with network segmentation design and implementation
Preferred Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)
Preferred Cisco StealthWatch
Preferred Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, and/or Checkpoint)
Preferred Claroty Medigate
