Job Description

THIS ROLE IS PRIMARLY FOCUSED ON THE DAY-TO-DAY MANAGEMENT OF BLEND CONSULTANTS. A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL ENSURE CONSULTANTS WORK WELL WITH CLIENT PERSONNEL, ADAPT TO THE CLIENT ENVIRONMENT AND DELIVER GREAT WORK. THERE IS NO TECHNICAL PROJECT OR ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT INVOLVED.

We are seeking an Account Director to support an existing Financial Services client. Blend identifies, recruits, onboards, and monitors consultants that work under the client’s direction to fill critical roles in marketing operations and related fields. The Account Director is responsible for working with client stakeholders and Blend consultants to ensure quality delivery and drive growth with our existing portfolio of clients.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage an existing book of client relationships, as well as the Blend consultants who support those clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities with the existing client portfolio.
  • Manage the sales pipeline to include all leads, opportunities, notes and activities in a timely manner.
  • Manage contracting and related administration requirements.
  • Work with Blend’s Talent Solutions group to recruit and onboard consultants to fill open roles.
  • Meet regularly with client managers to understand consultant performance and address any performance concerns that may arise.
  • Meet regularly with Blend consultants to provide coaching and support in fulfillment of their job functions.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience and proven track record in client management and business development.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct supervisory experience, including hiring and terminating employees.
  • Financial Services experience highly desired.
  • Familiarity with Marketing Operations in large Financial Services organizations highly desirable.
  • Ability to be onsite in the client’s offices 1-2 days per week in downtown Manhattan.
  • Ability to travel to Blend headquarters in Columbia, MD 2-3 times per year.
  • Has the ‘driver’ gene and is proactive in developing new high-quality relationships across the client organization.
  • Passionate about impacting clients’ results by providing world class resources.
  • Proven leadership experience, ability to be customer driven, results driven, collaborative and flexible.
  • Creative, resourceful, well-organized, self-starter, solution oriented.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Travel to client locations when necessary.
