Job Description

One of BlaBlaCar’s core ambitions is to build the largest bus marketplace solution in the world. To achieve that goal, we set ourselves high and ambitious targets, bringing tech and data to the heart of a renewed product experience and company strategy.

The Pro Engineering engineering team:

Two of the key company priorities for the next 12 months are:

  • Reengineer out tech stack with scalable architecture
  • Scale bus marketplace supply with connecting multiple bus operators to BlaBlaCar Global Distribution System 

By joining our Engineering team, you will be working alongside talented individuals grouped in small agile teams that each have strong ownership on their piece of these goals.

What you will contribute to:

  • Build a strong vision around quality at BlaBlaCar, establish and drive the roadmap
  • Build and share test strategies to help ensuring the best coverage;
  • Insure that the testing strategy is aligned with the company ambitions
  • Determine, negotiate and agree on quality process, standards and specifications
  • Communicating testing progress and reporting final results;
  • Measure and communicate around BlaBlaCar product quality
  • Monitor new tendances and be aware of new quality assurance practices
  • Establishing, following, and evangelizing quality best practices to the entire Tech team;
  • Lead, and actively participate in development and execution of test automation strategy
  • Manage and help growing a team of QA specialists

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a quality assurance manager or relevant role
  • Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
  • Broad experience with and deep understanding of enterprise B2B, API, web and mobile technologies;
  • Discipline, rigor, and comfort in learning complex products;
  • Outstanding communication skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, applicable to any audience;
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Experience with test automation tools is a plus;
  • Some knowledge in Java would be a plus
