Job Description

Our Activity Assistants are an important part of planning, implementing, and evaluating the recreational, social, intellectual, emotional & spiritual programs, in accordance with resident's care plan, and as directed by the supervisor. We are looking for a creative, energetic, mature and caring candidate to join our team.

This is a 30 hour position and must be available to work evenings 4-8pm plus every other weekend

•Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, & degree of involvement so that activities and resident progress can be evaluated.
•Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary.
•Encourage and assist residents to participate in activities in accordance with their interests.

Candidate must be responsible and have an excellent attendance record. 


Activities experience in assisted living or long term care preferred but will train the right candidate

Education and Training:
Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.  Other healthcare certifications a plus.

Other Requirements:
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must be willing to attend and participate in continuing educational programs as directed.
• Must be willing to leave the facility on occasion for outings
