Job Description

Continuous Product Development 

  • Develop and enhance coil coating formulations to align with customer and industry standards. 

  • Maintain product consistency, quality, and performance through ongoing research and development efforts. 

  • Identify and assess new raw materials to improve product features and functionality. 

Innovation and System Integration 

  • Integrate new technologies and innovations into existing product lines. 

  • Stay current with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to implement advanced solutions. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., manufacturing, quality assurance, and marketing) to effectively integrate innovations. 

Trials and Product Validation 

  • Plan, execute, and monitor product trials to ensure new developments meet performance and quality criteria. 

  • Conduct online product validation tests to comply with internal and external standards. 

  • Analyze test data and optimize product performance based on findings. 

Cost Optimization 

  • Identify and apply strategies for raw material cost savings without sacrificing product quality. 

  • Work closely with procurement and production teams to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. 

  • Regularly review product formulations to maintain cost-effective solutions. 

Health and Safety 

  • Recognize that health and safety is a shared responsibility. Take reasonable care of oneself and others, adhering to Beckers' Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures. 

  • Actively identify and report unsafe conditions, with EHS Managers, Officers, Supervisors, and above authorized to halt any operations conducted in unsafe conditions 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in chemical formulation, ideally in the coil coating or paint industry.
