Job Description
As our operations continue to grow, we are currently looking for a talented and motivated professional to join our team as Risk and Control Officer.
As a Risk Control officer within the Global Market Department, you will contribute to the first line of defense on managing market risk and ensuring compliance with Bank’s policy, operational procedures and regulatory requirements. Main Responsibilities
As Risk Control officer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Contribute to the first line of defence on managing market risk and ensuring compliance with Bank’s policy, operational procedures and regulatory requirements;
- Monitor of exposure of trading/banking book, business mandate and risk limits defined by the Group’s risk appetite and internal procedures;
- Ensure transactions are processed efficiently and booked according to the business mandate;
- Monitor, analyze and report risk limits and exposures of banking and trading books;
- Proactive risk management and responsibility for adequate procedures and effective controls as well as satisfying audit and regulatory requirements; Act promptly on any control weaknesses identified;
- Report to senior management any potential operational risk issues or unusual events in Treasury/Trading activities;
Qualifications
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a similar role within the banking sector.
- Understanding of liquidity management instruments, fixed income, FX, and money market operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Application (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Familiarity with treasury management systems (knowledge of MUREX is highly advantageous).
- Language: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese or French is considered as a strong asset.
